A hardbacked book measuring at least 20cm (8") in height
At least 550 numbered pages in your chosen book (or more)
Microsoft Excel or Open Office Calc to open and use your chosen pattern

I would appreciate if you would also include a page count that indicates how long a book must be for a particular project. The book I initially picked out for “Sisters”was not long enough for the pattern which required 550+ pages. I realized that before starting but would have liked the information to consider that when I was initially searching for a book
