Set the Material Label as your default label for the desired tools in the Label Settings. Then select any element and check 'Label Element' under Listing and Labeling.

By default it will display the materials as set in the Model Tab of your element. You can set the method to 'Custom' and then you can select any Material Parameter from an object (Objects/Lamps/Windows/Doors) and display the material in 2D.

It comes with different layouts (with or without the standard label-leader:
-Side by Side
-Above
-Above with Materials names
