Terrum 2016 Can Axartell

Deep ruby red with purplish hues. Made from Callet, an indigenous variety, 'Terrum' opens with aromatic accents of sour cherry and both red and dark berries. These are overlaid with alluring floral accents and fragrant herbs of thyme, bayberry and juniper. Time in the glass reveals notes of cinnamon and chocolate, dried earth and Mediterranean scrub. The wine's tremendous freshness on the palate is juxtaposed with rich, ripe fruits. An almost Pinot-like transparency further highlights the Callet's incredible power and clarity, with lively acidity and a striking yet ripe tannic backbone. A well-integrated barrel influence provides stability without dominating the discussion.
