The Flowering Rush - Butomus Umbellatus Marginal Pond Plant is a Native Plant.  The Flowering Rush is a very elegant Marginal Plant growing up to 1.2m high, with narrow sword shaped leaves (bronze when a younger plant, turning green with maturity) which are triangular at the base. Butomus Umbellatus bears lovely umbrels of pink flowers which are held above the foliage.  The roots of the Flowering Rush are eaten in Northern Asia! Recommended planting depth of 0-25cm. Known as flowering rush, grassy rush, lily grass and water gladiolus.
