It is the product obtained by finely pulverizing the chickpea. Also known as chana flour. From a nutritional point of view it is a food rich in protein, carbohydrates, fiber, minerals and vitamins. It is often used in gluten-free diets as a substitute for wheat flour.

In Italy also it consumed, and a typical product where it is used is called fainé, which is made from chickpea flour.
