· Potassium
In contrast to sodium, potassium diet can have an inverse correlation with blood pressure
Potassium supplementation reduces blood pressure in hypertensive and normotensive individuals. Potassium supplementation may be especially useful in treating high blood pressure in people over 65 years of age.
· Hawthorn (Crataegus laevigata)
Hawthorn may have a mild effect of lowering blood pressure. According to studies, it can dilate the coronary vessels, inhibits the angiotensin converting enzyme, increases the functional capacity of the heart and has mild diuretic activity.
· L-Arginine
Supplementation with L-arginine orally significantly reduces both systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
· N-Acetyl L-Carnitine + Alpha Lipoic Acid
Acetyl-L-carnitine in combination with alpha-lipoic acid reduces blood pressure in humans. Supplementation of alpha-lipoic acid prevents the development of hypertension and hyperglycemia, presumably through its antioxidant properties.
· Hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa)
Recent studies show that extracts of hibiscus are promising as a treatment for hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
· Celery (Apium graveolens) (seed extract)
Celery extracts containing active ingredients with vasorelaxant effect with a potential antihypertensive effect.
· Pycnogenol (Pine Bark Extract)
Studies show that regular consumption of Pycnogenol can reduce systolic blood pressure and reduce the amount of medication needed to normalize blood pressure
