These rings fit into the two oil seals of the crankshaft. This system is one of the main ways to improve engine performance is to reduce internal friction.

Performance gain:

Several years of testing have shown a typical performance gain of ~0.2hp and 300-500 rpm. Thus improving performance throughout the revving.
