B1962 - Gorgeous Vintage French Porcelain Salt Jar With Lid, Greek Maidens & Cherub

This is a gorgeous vintage French porcelain salt jar dating about 1930/40.  We found it in France and it is labelled in French but was made in Czechoslovakia. It would be the perfect useful accessory to add an authentic vintage finishing touch to a kitchen.We also have a matching set of jars with lids listed in our other items.

It has a charming vignette with Greek maidens to the front. See the cheeky cherub peeping round at them. The porcelain has a lovely irridescent finish with hints of gilding to the corners of the front.

The jar has a wooden hinged lid and has a hole at the back for hanging on a wall.

It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks, just some wear to the gilding and a few marks in places from years of use.

It measures :- H 17 cm (6.6 inches) x W 13.5 cm (5.3 inches) x D 11 cm (4.3 inches).

A superb salt jar to add an authentic vintage finishing touch to a kitchen and another divine brocante find from 'La Belle Étoffe'.
