This is a delightful antique French picture frame dating from the early 1900's. It is made of card and is beautifully hand painted.

It has two glass windows for photographs. The photos currently in them must surely be of a mother and daughter as they look just like each other. These photos could be replaced if required.

The painting on the frame has been beautifully executed. A lovely flowering plant grows up between the two photos and sedges and grasses surround them. A charming little butterfly hovers in a corner. The painting has been signed by M. Castaign.

On the back of the frame is a stand but sadly this is no longer functional. There is however a loop to hang the frame on a wall.

The frame measures :- 24 cm (9.5 inches) wide x 18.5 cm (7.25 inches) high.
