This is the most amazing antique French boudoir tidy dating from the 19th Century. It would certainly add an authentic touch to a vintage bedroom or perhaps hall.

It is made of cardboard and is covered in a divine pink paisley patterned cotton textile. It hangs on a pink cord and has two pockets for taking bits and bobs.

In the centre is a heavy bevelled mirror. Above the mirror is a divine paper vignette of a lady and beneath the mirror is a brown velvet pin cushion.

The pockets are trimmed with velvet and a single metal stud. They are edged with passementerie as is the whole outer edge of the tidy. The mirror, vignette and pin cushion are also trimmed with a finer passementerie.

The detail on the piece is incredible! The passementerie has come a little adrift here and there but it looks amazing just as it is.

It measures :- 40 cm (15.75 inches) high x 40 cm (15.75 inches) wide x 7 cm (2.75 inches) deep.
