This is an exquisite antique French woven embroidered panel. It would be superb incorporated into an upholstery project, perhaps as the seat or back of a salon or boudoir chair.

The panel is of superb quality. It is woven in silk in the Aubusson style and has a brown linen background. The design is of a group of glorious chrysanthemums and is worked in incredible detail.

Many different shades of silk have been used to create the flowers and they therefore look very realistic. The colours are shades of green, pink, ochre and the very palest liliacs and mauves.

The panel is in excellent condition and has never been used.

It measures approx. 47 cm (18.5 inches) in diameter.
