B944 - SOLD

This is a superb batch of 3 antique French tapestry panels / borders dating from about 1900. They would be perfect for trimming curtains or perhaps making a pelmet to add an authentic château chic touch to a room.

The tapestry is woven in wool and linen and has a gorgeous fruit and flower design in shades of brown and green.

The edges of the panels are black and are hemmed. There is evidence that they were once sewn to something but they have been unpicked with care.

The tapestry has good weight but handles nicely and would be easy to sew.

Two of the panels measure 190 cm (6 ft 3 inches) x 22 cm (8.75 inches).
One of the panels measures 232 cm (7 ft 7 inches) x 22 cm (8.75 inches).
