This is an exquisite long length of  antique French silk serpentine passementerie trim dating from the early 1900's. It would be perfect for trimming period textiles and would compliment the most opulent of velvets, brocades and silks.

The passementerie has an intricate silk cord design in olive green and rust with sumptuous ovals of thick silk plush in a rich chocolate brown. Between the ovals are intricate knots of the passementerie silk cords. The gorgeous sheen of the silk can be seen on the main ribbon of the passementerie where the olive green silk positively shimmers.

The passementerie is in perfect condition and has never been used.

It is over 5 meters (approx 5.5 yards) long x 5.5 cm (2 inches) wide.
