B883 - SOLD

This is a divine antique French architectural mount / plaque dating from the 1800's. It is very decorative and has lots of detail.

It would be fantastic to incorporate into a building project as a focal point either inside or outside a house. Or it could just be used as a decorative piece and displayed on a wall or perhaps on a console table with other architectural treasure.

It is made of  cast iron and has a dark hue with lovely antique patination. There is an oval to the centre with the head of a charming sleeping damsel and to either side of this are two of the most gorgeous cherubs. Above the head is a central bow crest, the ribbon tails of which are held aloft by the cherubs until they are caught at the base in a knot. Decorative scrollwork to the left and right completes the design of the wonderful piece.

The plaque measures :- W 41.5 cm (16.25 inches) x H 17.5 cms (6.75 inches) x D 2.5 cms (1 inch).
