This is a gorgeous antique French plaster bust in the Art Nouveau style dating from the early 1900's.

The subject is a beautiful young girl with fabulous wavy hair held in a chignon at the back. Her eyes are lovely and she has pink cupid's bow lips.

She wears a flower in her hair and a further flower adorns the plaster plinth.

The colours are dark and atmospheric. The flowers are a deep shade of aubergine and the leaves are a very dark green.

The paint on the bust has a little surface distressing from the passage of time but this does not detract from it's beauty.

She measures 39.5 cm (15.5 inches) high x 26 cm (10.25 inches) wide x 15 cm (6 inches) deep.

This is a gorgeous bust to add an authentic antique French finishing touch and another divine brocante find from La Belle Étoffe!
