This is a beautiful pair of antique French ormolu picture frames dating from the 1800's. They would be perfect for a boudoir, perhaps placed on a bedside table with others.

The frames are round and have a gorgeous ormolu laurel leaf wreath crest tied with a flowing ribbon. To either side of the crest is a beautiful flower garland.

The rim of the frames has decorative beading. The ormolu has mellowed over the years to a dark old gold hue.

The frames are very tidy and have a clean paper backing behind the glass. They are sturdy and have a little wire back rest.

Each frame measures 14.5 cm (5.75 inches) high x 12 cm (4.75 inches) wide.

While standing they are 7.5 cm (3 inches) deep.
