B678 - SOLDThis is a gorgeous pair of antique French ormolu curtain tie backs in the Rococo style and dating from about 1880. It is a substantial, good quality pair with excellent detail and definition to the casting. The back plate and fascia of the tie back have a fabulous acanthus leaf design.The gilding has naturally mellowed over the years to a lovely old gold The tie backs have a strap on the back of the top plate and can be fixed by hanging them on a hook. They measure :- H 17 cm (6.75 inches) x W 5.5 cm (2.25 inches) x D 16 cm (6.3 inches). This is a gorgeous pair of tie backs to add a château chic finishing touch and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe!
