B636 - SOLD This is a sublime antique French towel rail dating around 1900. It would make a very stylish addition to a château chic salle de bain. The glass rails are held in a stylish chrome bracket which fixes to the wall. The rails are hinged with the bracket allowing them to angle as required. The chrome on the bracket has mellowed over the years to a lovely patinated finish with a little verdigris. That on the finials at the end of the glass rods is still bright and shiny. The glass rails are in excellent condition with a few minor scratches from years of use but with no chips or cracks. The bracket has 2 slots for attaching it to a wall. The towel rail when laid flat measures :- 52 cm (20.5 inches) wide x 13 cm (5 inches) high.
