This is a superb vintage French metal sign advertising the Cognac Richarpailloud.

The sign is gilded and over printed with the design.  At the centre of the top of the design is the crest of Richarpailloud. Below this are the words 'COGNAC' and 'RICHARPAILLOUD'.  Within the mid brown background of the design are gilded vine leaves from which hang little bunches of grapes. The sign has an attractive border.

The sign would make an extremely decorative and atmospheric piece to hang on a wall, perhaps in a kitchen or in a bar.

It is in good condition with some patination to the paint which does not detract but adds character to this wonderful old piece.

The sign has two holes at the top and a piece of cord for hanging.

It measures :- W 40 cm (15.75 inches) x H 25 cm (9.75 inches).
