This sublime two armed antique French candle wall sconce would certainly add a château chic finishing touch to a room.

It is made in gilded spelter. The backplate has a central rectangular bevelled mirror surrounded by scrolls and curls. Above the mirror is a head crest with flower garlands to the hair and laurel leaf wreaths below.

The two arms branch out from the backplate and have delicate scrolled detail.  The candle cups sit on decorative bobeche.

There is a loop on the back of the sconce for hanging on a wall.

The sconce is in sturdy antique condition. The gilding has mellowed to an atmospheric hue and the glass plate has foxed but this just adds character to this stunning piece.

The sconce measures  :- 43 cm (16.9 inches) high x 21 cm (8.26 inches) wide x approx 10.5 cm (4.1 inches) deep.
