This is a sublime antique French trinket box dating from the 1800's. It is divinely pretty and would be the perfect authentic finishing touch in a château chic boudoir.

The box is cylindrical in shape and the side is covered in the most gorgeous silk brocade now faded with the passage of time to a melange of champagne hues.

The lid of the box is covered in glass beneath which is a sepia paper vignette of a delightful 18th Century scene. This is bordered with a gilded wire passementerie.

The lid lifts off to reveal a figured silk interior in a gorgeous shade of green - just lovely!

The box is in good antique condition and measures :-  11.25 cm (4.4 inches) in diameter x  6.75 cm (2.6 inches) high.

A heavenly box to add a touch of happiness to a boudoir and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe!
