B1816 - SOLD

This is a divine set of 6 antique French silk lampshades dating from about 1920 to 1950.  They would be perfect to add a château chic finishing touch to a 6 armed chandelier or a set of wall lights.

The silk is cream in colour and is finely pleated. The top and bottom of the shades are trimmed with velvet ribbon in a lovely soft green.

Inside, the shades have a wire fitting for slipping on to a candle bulb.

The shades are in good antique condition with no damage to the silk. There are a few minor rust marks and one of the shades has some speckling to the silk (please see photos) but these characteristics in no way detract from their vintage charm.

Each shade measures :-

11.25 cm (4.4 inches) high

9 cm (3.5 inches) across the bottom.

6.5 cm (2.5 inches) across the top.
