This is a stunning large vintage French woven tapestry wall hanging with a medieval château scene. It is woven in incredible detail and texture. It would add a fabulous château chic finishing touch and would look superb in a country house home.

The scene is a beautiful rural vista with a magnificent château in the background. In the foreground is a beautiful blue pool with a waterfall. The pool is surrounded by a profusion of lush vegetation including three stunning trees laden with oversized leaves and fruit. Two gorgeous birds take centre stage and complete the fabulous scene.

The colours are rich greens and blues with a hint of red in the birds, fruit and flowers.

The tapestry is of excellent quality and is woven in wool and linen. It is is thick and heavy and is in superb vintage condition. It is lined and has fixtures at the back for hanging purposes.

It measures :- 172 cm (5 ft 7.75 inches) wide x 131 cm (4 ft 3.5 inches ) high.
