B1356 - SOLD

This is a sublime pair of antique French plinths / display stands dating from the 19th Century. They would be superb to display a special pair of objets d'art. We have used them to display a number of our items for photography purposes. We also have a larger single one (B1358) listed in our other items which matches these.

The stands are made of wood and each sits on 4 sturdy feet. They are beautifully water gilded over plaster. They have a criss cross pattern to the top and an Empire Style moulded design to the edge.

The water gilding gives off a subtle golden and russet glow. The gilding and plaster have distressed in places over the years but this has mellowed into the stands and does not detract from their beauty.

Each stand measures :- 15 cm (6 inches) wide x 15 cm (6 inches) deep x 4.5 cm (1.75 inches) high.

A fabulous pair of gilded stands to enhance a period display and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe.
