This fantastic antique French double towel rail would certainly make a very stylish addition to a château chic salle de bain.

It is made in brass and is a substantial piece. The brass rails are held in two fabulous brackets each with a magnificent mythical bird. The birds' gorgeous wings are outstretched and their necks arch forward in dramatic gesture. They are sitting on the bracket, their long clawed feet taking the purchase.

The brackets themselves are oval in shape and have a sunburst design. They each have 2 holes for fixing to a wall. The rails are columnated and have an acorn finial to each end. Stunning!

We have left the rail as we found it beautifully patinated with the passage of time - there are even some areas of verdigris - but of course the brass could be polished to a shiny finish if required.

The rail measures :- 51.5 cm (20.25 inches) wide x 17 cm (6.75 inches) high x 12 cm (4.75 inches) deep.

This fabulous towel rail is from a carefully selected collection of decorative antique French pieces  from 'La Belle Étoffe'.
