This is a divine antique French religious wax bust of  Mary, the Madonna dating from the late 1800's, early 1900's.  It is a very decorative piece and would make a stunning addition to a religious display.

Mary is very serene. Her head is turned and her eyes are closed. Her mantle frames her face  and she holds her elegant hand to her heart. The creamy iridescent wax  adds to the simplicity of the piece. She sits upon a wooden plinth.

She is in good antique condition. There is just one old worm hole in the base (please see photos).

The bust on her plinth measures :- H 15 cm (6 inches) x W 13.5 cm (5.25 inches) x D 8 cm ( 3.25 inches).
