B1223 - SOLD

This is a divine antique French textile covered boudoir box dating from the very early 1900's. It would be perfect for a few hankerchiefs or trinkets.

It is covered in a cotton  fabric with the most gorgeous hirondelle and blossom design in stunning colours. The background is a warm antique cream which sets off the bright pinks and blues of the hirondelles and blossom to perfection.

The lid of the box is trimmed with a gold metallic passementerie now faded with the passage of time. The lid lifts up to reveal a paper lined interior which is beautifully clean.

The box is in excellent sturdy condition. The fabric does show some subtle age spots but these blend in to the design and do not draw the eye.

It measures :- 19 cm (7.5 inches) wide x 19 cm (7.5 inches) deep x 7 cm (2.75 inches) high.

A stunning  box to add a touch of happiness to a boudoir and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe!
