This is a divine antique French tapestry tablecloth / throw dating from the 19th Century. It is full of timeworn charm and would add an authentic shabby chic finishing touch to a room.

It has gorgeous rose vignettes connected with trailing ribbons and bows. The colours are muted tones now faded with the passage of time.  A tasseled passementerie around the edge finishes off this charming old textile.

We have left the throw as we found it. There are no tears or wear to the textile but there are some characteristics of age in the form of some sepia coloured marks (please see photos) which tend to blend into the design and do not draw the eye or detract from the overall beauty of the piece. There are also some tassels missing.

The throw measures :- 170 cm (5 ft 7 inches) x 166 cm (5 ft 5.25 inches) not including the passementerie.
