This is the most gorgeous pair of antique French crocheted cotton curtain tie backs dating from the 1800's. They would be perfect for holding back delicate drapes such as Cornely lace curtains.

They each have two intricately crocheted straps with a loop at the end.  There is a finely worked embellishment from which the bobbled tassels descend. They are utterly charming!

They are lovely and clean. Over the years they have timeworn a little but are fully functional and beautiful just as they are. On one of the tie backs the bobbles have tangled a little but this really does not show when hanging.

Each tie back measures approx. 79 cm (31 inches) from the back of the loop to the tip of the bobbles x 9.5 cm (3.75 inches) across the embellishment.

A divine pair of curtain tie backs to add an authentic shabby chic French finishing touch to a pair of curtains and another gorgeous antique textile find from La Belle Étoffe.
