B1085 - SOLD

This is an amazing pair of antique French decorative plinths dating from the 19th Century. They would have come from a church and would probably have been used as stands for religious figures or for church candles. They could be hung on a wall or be free standing.

They each have a wooden painted top around which is a pierced metal Fleur De Lys frieze which forms the base upon which it sits when freestanding. The top and frieze are painted cream and are edged with a gold paint that that has now faded to a subtle shade of vintage champagne.

We have left the stands as we found them. They are distressed and patinated and are absolutely GORGEOUS just as they are - full of antique atmosphere and character which could not be replicated. Please see photos.

Each stand measures :- 40 cms (15.75 inches) wide x 30 cm (12 inches) deep x 8 cms high.
