B1036 - SOLD

This is a beautiful pair of antique French ormolu embellishments dating from the 19th Century. They may originally have adorned a curtain pole or been used to cover hooks. They are so pretty they could now be incorporated in a number of projects to add a château chic finishing touch to a room.

They have a gorgeous bow and ribbon tail crest above a central oval dome. Around the dome are exquisite flowers.

The gilding on the ormolu has mellowed over the years and has wonderful patination.

On the back of each embellishment is a little square tube which would fit over a hook or could be adapted for fixing purposes. We have used a hook and an antique picture frame (listed in our other items) to show how the embellishments can be used.

Each embellishment measures :- 18.5 cm (7.25 inches) high x 12 cm (4.75 inches) wide.
