Reproduction of a French sampler

Marie stitched her sampler in 1878. Originally from Alès (spelled Alais until the early 20th century), she chose pretty alphabets and small motifs embroidered in 1 thread on 1 thread.

Be careful, as the border is very irregular.

half stitch over 1
