Floating Plants
These help to cut out a certain amount of light entering the water, which in turn, helps to prevent the water turning green.
The Eichornia, Hydrocharis, L. Polyrhiza and Pistia are generally not available until May. Some varieties may grow abundantly in certain positions. Normally they are easy to control. Please see the 'Advice' page and then 'Planting' for details of planting out and general care.
