This is a real raritie-CD. Inge Borkh made relatively few studio recordings but most of those that she did made have become classics, also this CD with special attention for Verdi?s Macbeth. Lady Macbeth was an important role, and one witch she made a notable impression. Not only was she perfectly able to portray the character?s malevolent determination, but she also had the type of voice that Verdi is believed to have intended for the role.
