Agree with me that these ‘pulsevarmers’ are great vehicles for invention, to try out, experiment, or get acquainted with new patterns.

Debbie Bliss’ Baby Cashmerino in a lovely dark, rich espresso color is soft yet strong. Any solid color will give you a superb stitch definition and will make the twisted stitches pop out beautifully. The pulsevarmers I made for Terhi hardly used up two balls of baby cashmerino.

The thumb gusset flows out of the palm of the hand in a logical way. Consider adding a KidSilkHaze (Rowan) crocheted border. Or weave in a silk or velvet ribbon at the wrist. Beautiful. Handmade. Perfect.

• SIZE
  M, suitable for an average female hand
  Add extra stitches on either side of the pattern to make the item wider OR use bigger needles.
• FINISHED SIZES
  Total length of the wrist warmer 24 cm
  Total thumb gusset length, including the thumb 9 cm
  Hand circumference – about 20 cm
• YARN
  Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino, almost 2 balls of 50 grams
• NEEDLES
  3.00 mm circular needle(s) or set(s) double-point needles or size needed to obtain gauge. Length of circular needle 80 or 100 cm.
• GAUGE
  Not very important, but approximately 30 sts x 32 rows = 10x10 cm’s or 4x4”
• SKILLS
  Twisted or travelling stitches, knitting in the round, chart reading. Separate instructions are given for the 'cabling without a cable needle' technique.
• PATTERN NOTES
  The wrist warmers are worked one circular needle. Do use two circulars or set of dpn's if preferred.
